About Knitters.fyi
Who publishes Knitters.fyi, how the calculators and guides are made, and how the site earns money.
Knitters.fyi is a set of knitting and crochet calculators and guides. Each calculator gives the number first and shows every step of the arithmetic, so you can check it against your own pencil math.
Who publishes it
Knitters.fyi is published by Worlds Enough Studios.
How the calculators work
The calculators run in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, and the numbers live in the page address, so you can bookmark or share a result.
How the guides are made
The guides are researched, drafted and fact-checked by AI: specifically by Claude Opus, an AI model made by Anthropic. That’s the name in each guide’s byline. It’s a label, not a person. Worlds Enough Studios sets the editorial direction: which questions to cover and the rules every guide follows.
- Sources. Facts come from published sources, such as yarn labels and standards for yarn weights and needle sizes, and each claim links to its source so you can check it.
- No testing claims. The AI writer hasn’t knitted, crocheted or tested anything, and the guides never claim otherwise.
- Checks. Every number in a guide must match the calculators, and every draft is fact-checked against its sources before it’s published.
- Updates. When a guide is substantially revised, its modified date changes. Small fixes such as typos don’t change it.
How the site earns money
Some guides link to products on Amazon. Those are affiliate links: if you buy through one, Worlds Enough Studios earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. A product is linked only where a guide’s steps call for one. See affiliate links.
